So, has anyone got their heads around tumblr? I've looked at a few sites/pages/blogs/whatever-the-hell-they-are and seen some pretty cool images... But no words? Come people, I want to read something about the images I see, and not just 52 inane comments...

Having said that, don't you just want to chow down on these? Mmmmmm I can smell them now, all warm and buttery from the oven... How cruel to show me these with no recipe attached... Evil tumblr!

It was my birthday this week, so what better reason to visit the new wine bar in town? The Bar Next to Samuel's is, I have to say, a whole stack better than Samuel's...



Excellent wine list, great beers, scrummy food, and friendly service... And what a plus for Thirroul to have a swish place to wear your heels? It's so much nicer than the other seedy dives (who shall remain anonymous - those in-the-know know where I mean...) where you can order a drink without being chatted up by a drunken lout, smoked out by the tobacco lobby, or have your shoes stick to the carpet...

I last went through a knitting phase about nine years ago, and haven't picked up needles since... these are getting my fingers twitchy though!
